Realtor Research Proves It
A successful referral network drives as much as 70% of some Realtors businesses.
In 2006, The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver & Fraser Valley Real Estate Board study confirmed:
“The majority of consumers chose their Realtor® because a friend, co-worker, business acquaintance or relative recommended them.”
63% of 18 – 34 year olds worked with a Realtor® because of a referral.
The same study also showed that other tactics didn’t work as well:
Only 8% picked their Realtor® as a result of print advertising.
Only 6% chose their Realtor® because they had worked with them before.
Only 3% found a Realtor® at an open house.

As well, a study by NAR in the US showed:
43% of buyers and 44% of sellers choose their Agent based on referrals.
66% of sellers and 68% of buyers would recommend their Agent to others and/or use them again.
